Costa Rica’s incredible run at the World Cup this year has surprised just about everyone.
Even the country’s own president didn’t really expect the national soccer team to escape the “group of champions” the country was drawn in, which featured three former tournament winners: Italy, England, and Uruguay.
ISM-players Bryan Ruiz and Junior Diaz are doing very good. Diaz seems to be the fastest player of this world cup (faster than Arjen Robben) and made it to ‘the Bundesliga eleven’ after the group stage (see picture). Captain Ruiz has scored two times so far and was already elected ‘man of the match’.
Costa Rica is playing the Netherlands next Saturday in the quarter finals.
